What students will do?

1. Warm up questions.

2. Teacher will go over directions. Students will be given a scenario and a budget to find the price of items needed to raise a baby from birth to age one. Items that are need to raise a baby from birth to age one are included in the lesson.

3. Students will begin working on the lesson.

4. Students will answer reflection questions at the end of the activity.

The lesson will take approximately three 50 minute class periods depending on the ability of the students. It is geared towards 9-12 grades. This will help students prepare for the financial responsibility of living on their own.
